Your first salary budget
Your first salary is the best moment to build habits that last. This starter budget covers the basics, pays down a student loan and starts an emergency fund from month one.
What makes it different
Lifestyle creep
Spending rises to meet income. Decide your savings amount first and spend from what is left.
Student debt
A student loan payment is a fixed line. Extra payments on the highest-rate debt save the most.
No safety net yet
One surprise bill can push you into card debt. A small emergency fund comes first.
Investing in yourself
Courses and certifications can raise your income faster than anything else. Give them a budget line.
